Honestly it depends when you get there because the freshly smoked stuff is the best but never got bad food. There items other than the bbq items (fish, chicken, etc) are lacking.

I was here at a slow time, and I had the reuben with the smoked corned beef. It's now my new favorite sandwich. So good, excellent waitress, and the atmosphere is fun.

The food is absolutely amazing, prices are great for quantity to. I'm a barbecue connoisseur, from TN to NC, all over Indiana where I'm from and this one is by far one of the best I've had. Not to mention their servers are so kind and down to earth (especially Abby). Next time we visit Patoka Lake we will most certainly be back!

Old fashioned atmosphere, and 50's and 60's stuff all around the restaurant.

Good BBQ overall. Their fried jalapenos are really good. Friendly servers and cool nostalgic pictures.

Just stopped for lunch and it was delicious! The curbside service is quick and friendly! Don't miss out on this tasty food! Make sure to tip your delivery person!

Food is yummy, several different flavors of BBQ sauce on the table, fun atmosphere, huge portions! Hubs an I will never order 2 entries again. The appetizer was more than enough for us.

Cozy atmosphere with lots of memorabilia and tv screens... food is always hot and fresh, large menu with variety, and friendly staff. I've never had anything less than absolutely delicious and on point... I drive from Salem and salivate the whole way there!

No other bbq places in Indiana come close to being this good. Whoever runs the smoker knows what they are doing. Not just a bunch of seasoned cheap meat. It is real smoked meat. Sides are very good too. Does not taste like store bought junk with a bunch of preservatives. I have only had bbq this good in Texas at private parties. Service was A1 and food came out quick, hot and fresh.👍👍🇺🇸

Excellent barbecue, and I've eaten barbecue in Oklahoma and Texas for years. This is the best I've had in Indiana!!!

I don't go here much as it's a tad pricy for me. But I have never had a meal here I didn't love. The staff is fantastic. And amazing frier pickles.

I definitely do not recommend it. We found problems with our food, and addressed the waitress extremely politely, and.. She proceeds to tell the owner, & he comes to our table extremely rude, and hostile, & responds with, “What do you want me to do? Call the ghostbusters?” Then proceeds to harass, and follow my family out to are vehicles, and take pictures. I never had a problem with paying. Extremely unprofessional of a business owner to treat customers that way.

Quick and delicious!! The brisket was our favorite! Also, the deep fried pickles were a huge serving and very tasty. I've told so many people about this place!

Great little place here! The food is fantastic, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is excellent! The prices are quite reasonable and they do take cards. If you’re visiting the area or just passing through, this is definitely a great option.

Being short-staffed seems to be an issue this was my third visit and the service was very slow it took over 15 minutes to place our drink order from the time we sat down and that was because One of us got up and hunted down a waitress. The servers were very apologetic but we felt that if they were more observant they would have noticed us sooner amongst the tables they were serving. Of the four adults in our group all felt the food was over-salted. We had Philly cheese sandwiches and smoked salmon. The atmosphere is very nice though tastefully arranged and with plenty to look at. Clean comfortable.

Little gem in this small town. We came and they had live music and a great, friendly atmosphere. They food was delicious!

Love to go here for the food with my son. And when ever I take a friend here. They love it. The food portions can be more to handle so bring your appetite. They keep a few extra bottles of sauce on the table to enjoy your meal with.

The pulled pork is very good. Atmosphere is local and fun. Made the mistake of going for a healthier option in the pulled chicken. This was the second and last time I would order it. Extremely dry. You have to cover it thoroughly with sauce to make it moist enough to eat.

I was not really taken with the sauces on the tables with which you make your own flavor BBQ. It is just pulled roasted pork on a bun which had little flavor. I actually ordered a Reuben made with brisket. The brisket was largely fatty and chewy. I was unable to eat it. The meat was exiting the sandwich attached to my teeth. I ordered the home made potato chips. They were just ok.The decor is cute. Local history and folksy doo dads. I wont be stopping there again.X

Excellent food worth the wait.

The atmosphere is great! All the old trinkets and movie advertisements are really cool. The food was okay, it was a little flavorless, but they give you several great bbq sauces to try with everything. The price was a bit steep, but we were referred by a friend, so we gave it a shot. Definitely something we'd only be able to go to on special occasions or something.

The food at Porkys was ok. I agree with most reviews that the pulled pork was the best (though the fried chicken was surprisingly good). Service was spotty - one waitress was amazing and made our kids day by showing them how to feed the fish. Another simply disappeared, had to be asked for the same thing three times and got our order wrong. Unfortunately, the staff also was not wearing masks; however, the venue was spaced enough to feel separate from other guests.

Best pork brisket I have eaten. Staff was nice and polite. Our waitress made sure that we had everything and actually came back several times to check on us. Go eat there, you will not be disappointed.!!! Owner is a real gentlemen. Talked to his workers and guests with so much respect. I almost asked him for a job.

Great food and great service!! The fish breading inside was not all the way done and I didn't eat much of that but everything else was VERY good. She could tell I didn't like it and made it Right!! Subtracted the fish from my bill and ask if I wanted anything else and was VERY sorry. You could tell she cared. Of course left her a big tip just for being a great person. Would highly recommend.

Great selection of BBQ food. I've been multiple times and the Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Beef Brisket are all delicious. My favorite BBQ they have is the Sweet. Their fried pickles for an appetizer is also great!

The pulled pork can NOT be beat. Smokie flavor and smell totally the best. Fried okra absolutely perfect. Large portions. Nd service like they want you there and wanna make sure you'll wanna come back. Thanks Porky's crew!!!
